On 6 – 7 July 2023, the university hosted two days of Thesis Defense for the 2023 graduates in Master of Arts in Project Planning and Management, Executive Master in Business Administration, and Master of Arts in Human Resource Management programs. The event was held in Hargeisa and serves as a significant milestone for the graduating students, who had spent years studying and preparing to defend their theses.
An important milestone reached in 2023 will be that that this graduating batch will serve as the 10th anniversary of the start of the ATU Masters program officially making it the longest running Masters program in the region.
The Masters Defense is the final step in completing a master’s degree. It is an opportunity for students to present their research findings and defend their thesis in front of a panel of experts i n their field. The Defense is a rigorous process that requires students to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and abilities as they answer questions from the panelists and defend their research.
The Masters Defense was a momentous occasion for the graduating students, as it marked the culmination of their academic journey. It was also a proud moment for the university, as it demonstrated its commitment to academic excellence and producing graduates who are wellprepared to make meaningful contributions in their respective fields.
